What Is GUMS About?
GUMS is a student run organisation that exists for the benefit of all medical students at Griffith, throughout all stages of their degree. We’re constantly looking for new ways to improve the lives of our students and to support our students in their studies, social life and personal wellbeing.
We would love to have you on board to share new ideas, grow your own skills and help tackle the organisation of all the events we run! No matter your interest or level of experience, there is definitely a place for you in the GUMS team!

We host the biggest events of the year starting with Orientation Camp, ScrubCrawl, Med Ball and of course: Med Revue!
Advocacy
At every year level, hospital and campus, we represent the interests of the cohorts by talking to the school and other stakeholders about the issues faced, and working towards a solution.

Our Primary Purpose Is To Organise Events – Both Academic And Social, Provide Additional Learning Opportunities To Encourage The Study Of Medicine, Connect Likeminded Students And Supply Medical Education Related Products.

We Provide Academic, Social And Wellbeing Events And Encourage Students To Attend Seminars And Conferences Pertinent To Their Scientific Fields Of Interest. We Aim To Support All Students Through Their Doctor Of Medicine Program And Be An Enduring Positive Influence On The Doctors Of The Future.
